`my swirls-*
Friday, February 16

i think i'm still stuck in 2006. i keep on writing the dates wrongly. i feel so comfortable with 2006, i get surprised when a 2007 pops up. i think, 'oh that's next year', then i remember that this is 2007.

i have selective memory, or perhaps i just need to clear away some of my memory daily. so anyway, last sat, 2pm. i was taking the train to orchard. well. i havent been taking trains on weekend afternoons, so it has been quite a while since i saw the 'younger crowd'. it was quite a refreshing experience. don't get me wrong. they were annoying, alright, but just the right amount of annoying-ness you would expect from them, so you forgive them. and anyway, they were keeping me amused throughout the whole trip. the vibes i got from them were so strong, and they fall roughly into 6 categories as follows:

  1. the huh what. i've got the whole world under my feet, so don't come bother me.
  2. the i'm oozing coolness naturally -- believe it! (usually found listening to their mp3, hand(s) jammed in the pockets of their jeans.)
  3. the i like, totally fit in; i'm mr/miss popular, everyone wants to be my friend
  4. the yer know, i don't really care whatcha think, cos i think i'm way cool (ie. you're not) so eat your heart out. (note: do not confuse with category 1)
  5. the miii-andd-euuu-friendx-forevazzz-mauckxx, which also falls in with the i-lurbbe-twinxx-and-SHE-theyy-ishh-sho-kool-theyy-r[a]wkzz-maii-lyf. (they're easilty identified by their trademark, hair at both sides of their head they so conveniently forget to tie up together with the rest.)
  6. and lastly, various combinations of the above.

haha. amusing, especially when you once fallen into one (or more) of those catagories. strangely, it was endearing too.

last evening in the train saw a group of dhs students, and suddenly, i miss the secondary school times, when no one really bothered about studies. (okay at least i didn't. well. not that much, even if i did bother.) i didn't realise it, but now, coming to think of it, i'm pretty sure the heck-care, laid back attitude belongs, exclusively, to secondary school.

and this came as a shock to me (really!), but i actually miss it.

gosh.
