recently in my neighbourhood came a drumset, or a band (i just heard the bass guitar.) in addition to the already exsiting piano, flute, trumpet, clarinet, dizi and yangqin. oh my goodness. i don't know what to make of it. i'm like half amused and irritated. haha. my meighbourhood is like.. heh. musical? but already the drumset and bass guitars are competing against the clarinet, which is by the way, playing flight of the bumblebee as warmup. again. i think the clarinet guy is damn pro. anyways, i decided yest to do individuals today cos i won't be touching my flute until next mon. and goodness knows i need practice. okay. everyone knows that i need practice. ditto. i think i'll end up shutting myself in my room and suffocating myself and wishing that the drumsticks will somehow hit the person on the drumset on the head and render him unconscious. maybe the clarinet guy can go over and do sth about the guitars too. (the clarinet guy and i have no choice but to be reluctant allies and try to get rid of this new noisier.. invasion? of musical space together. haha. and the drumset and the guitarist lives in the house beside him. i'm opposite them. haha. so, well. its his job, i guess. hohoho.)
anyhows, joan and qixin came over to make our second lunch yest! haha. the soup was alright but i think we added too little ingredients (the potatoes were a little small and we didn't add celery as instructed in the recipie) and the milk base turned out a little too strong and i added a little too much sugar. oops! heh. oh and qixin forgot to bring the dvds. horrible girl. and after out cooking session we were too tired to do any work. joan slept while qixin and i talked and observed people, and we learnt a few things.
maybe its me who is too sensitive, but i can't help thinking. i mean, if you really want to give a birthday present, then do it sincerely. don't get a present in name only. if you don't really want to give the present and is obliged to give the present, then don't. i won't want to recieve a present knowing that it wasn't sincerely given and spend my time trying to guess who was the person who really bothered to actually go get my present etc. and wondering if the person who went to get my present is really sincere or was he/she also obliged to? this just spoils all the fun of getting a present. i mean, guarenteed, i'm also guilty of doing this, but. you get my point. i'd rather not get a present. and i'll try in the future not to do this to anyone. ahas.
but qixin and joan says that i'm a tad too sensitive so i shall give the matter rest. =) i shall now concentrate my energies on packing/thinking of what to pack for tmr's vacation. oh man, this reminds me of the hawaii trip. daddy lets me go but then, because i'm nice, i think i shall take the shopping money for the trip out of my own savings. or maybe not. haha. let's see how nice i'm feeling when its closer to mid march next year, shall we? mehehehehe.
oh dear, i think that i am evil.
alrights. i shall think and plan what i shall bring to.. of all places, thailand, bangkok, the second singapore. i must remember to bring along my chem notes to read!
